| MAC SWIM & DIVE CHAMPIONSHIPS FRIDAY FEB 10 & SATURDAY FEB 11, 2012 The 2012 MAC Swimming and Diving Championships will be held at Moon Area High School on Friday and Saturday February 10th and 11th, 2012. The diving competition will take place on Friday, and all swimming events will be on Saturday. This year’s format calls for the GIRLS diving competition to precede the BOYS. This championship is open to boys and girls from all MAC schools. Team and independent swimmers are welcome. All swimmers must achieve minimum time standards in a High School meet during current season. The fee this year will be $100 for a boy’s team and $100 for a girl’s team. Fee for schools sponsoring both boys and girls’ teams is $200. Individual entries will be $10 per event for independent swimmers. Dive Sheets 11 / dive list. DEADLINE > Entries must be received by 5:00 PM Friday, February 3rd, 2012. Late entries will only be accepted if there are open lanes ! Team entries > Max 4 entries per individual event and 1 relay. ALL ENTRIES MUST HAVE AN ENTRY TIME !!! Six (6) optional dives include one from each of the five categories and an additional one from any category. 3. In the first 5 dives: 2 vol. & 3 opt. (round 1) next 3 dives: 2 vol. & 1 opt. (round 2) last 3 dives: 1 vol. & 2 opt. (round 3) Within each round, the dives can be in any order. The 6th optional dive (the category in which you double up) must be in the final round. 4.Coaches honor: divers should be able to perform the dives you have listed on the sheet. Please keep the integrity & safety of the divers of the meet in mind. Warm-up procedures: Friday – GIRL'S diving competition will be run in its entirety prior to the BOY'S. GIRL'S warm-ups begin at 2:30 PM. Teams are not permitted on the boards before 2:30 PM. The meet will begin no earlier than 3:35 PM. AS PER CHAMPIONSHIP / PIAA RULES THERE WILL BE NO DIVE CHANGES ONCE THE COMPETITION HAS STARTED! BOY'S DIVING > Warm ups for minimum 45 minutes as soon as girls finish. SWIMMING ON SATURDAY Team warm up times will be assigned based on number of entries per team. You will be notified in advance of your warm up time & lanes. Starts may be conducted by a coach of each team in your assigned lanes! The meet begins no earlier than 10:35 AM. Scratch meeting at 9:45am – scratches only – no additions. TEAM SEATING / DECK SPACE > IN ORDER TO KEEP DECK OPEN WE WILL BE LIMITING EACH TEAM TO AN ASSIGNED AREA THAT WILL BE MARKED WITH YOUR TEAM NAME. ALSO TO HELP MOON WILL HAVE AN AREA WHERE ALL SWIM BAGS MUST BE KEPT! NO BAGS WILL BE ALLOWED ON DECK! This is a pre-seeded meet. Entries received after the deadline will be entered only if there are open lanes. They are entered as “No Time” and seeded last. No changing of swimmers events after pysche sheet is posted on line.
