General Info about Middle School Swimming

1.Dual Meets start at 4pm and meets run about 1 hour and 20 minutes for swim portion.  And
another half hour for diving.

2.We want ALL swimmers to stay and cheer and support divers after our home swim meets.
We must have advance written notice if swimmers plan to leave early, or they will not be
eligible for the next meet!

3.All swimmers will compete in the meets - usually multiple events.
The first heat (race) is the scored event the 2nd and 3rd heats are time trial events. All are
important for end of season invitational meet entry.

4.The maximum number of events a swimmer may compete in is 4 > 2 individual and 2 relays.

5.Swimmers MUST go to away meets on the BUS and come home on the BUS!!!  If for a very
important reason a swimmer will need to go home with a parent (and only a parent) a note must
be turned into athletic office at least 1 day prior to meet.  Coach is not to allow swimmers to go
home with parents unless this is followed. If not followed a swimmer is not eligible for next
meet.

6.Pools are 25 yards in length - most events are 50 yard (2 lenghts)
100 yards (4 lengths) or 200 yard (8 lengths) events.
Relays are 4 x 50 or 200 yard relays - each swimmer has 2 lengths of        the pool.  In Medley
Relays swimmer 1 does backstroke - 2 breaststroke    - 3 fly - 4 freestyle.

7.The individual medley is a 100 yard event - in this order > 1 length fly
- back - breast - free.

8.Strokes must be performed legally or disqualifications will be called by officials.
GIRLS TEAM RECORD > 7 WINS - 2 LOSSES

BOYS TEAM RECORD > 2 WINS - 7 LOSSES

Invitational girls 4th / boys 7th out of 11 teams.

Hello everyone!

What an awesome job at our end of
season meet  weekend!

I can't thank my parent group enough
for creating such a positive and
successful Championship meet this
past Sat.!   Even Coach Bob as well as
Debbie Kaulius (the former Middle
school booster pres. and now Varsity
booster pres.) were impressed!  We
even have Debbie a bit jealous cause
we all worked so well together and all
pitched in!!

This year has been as awesome year
and I Thank you all from the bottom of
my heart for sharing your kids and
your efforts to make this happen!  The
kids were the ones to benefit, but I had
my share of enjoyment!

Thank You!  Thank You!!  Thank You!

Sincerely, Tracy
